NICKLES FOR NONPROFITS

Dear Fresh Start For Single Mothers and Their Children supporters here is a fundraising opportunity for us through the Whole Foods Store on West Broad Street in Short Pump!
When customers bring in their own bags for groceries they have the option of receiving a
five cent credit (per bag) or the option to donate the five cents to a selected local nonprofit organization which will be Fresh Start
At the end of each quarter the selected organization will receive
the funds via a check that have been accrued
It is the goal of the Whole Foods program to reduce use of new bags while increasing funding for a local non-profit.

There are collection boxes at customer service desk and next to our employment center kiosk for customer to leave their nickels.

THE HOPE BUS

50 Charities in 50 Days!

Fresh Start is one of the 50 selected charities!

The Hope Bus is touring the Nation, lighting a Torch of Inspiration to every City it visits

The mission of the Hope Bus is threefold:

(1) To bring awareness of local and grassroots charities to community residents. To this end, The Hope Team will visit selected charities, learn more about the charities through interviews, and share their stories via media sources including radio, television, newsprint and online social media networks;

(2) To inspire community residents (collectively and individually) to become involved in volunteerism in an effort to create a neighborhood support system; and

(3) To lead by example, The Hope Bus Tour will encourage charities to build alliances and share scarce resources in an effort to strengthen their collective organizations in a tough economy that is especially challenging for nonprofits.
